Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition Bundle, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller announced

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming to Nintendo Switch this December, and we learned earlier this month that Nintendo will constitute a limited edition of the game in Europe. The company has now confirmed it will also offer a special edition of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the United States, but this comes with a different selection of content.

Nintendo has updated the official Smash Bros. website with the first pictures of US Super Smash Bros. Ultimate special edition. Unlike the European equivalent, the American pile comes with a copy of the game that is placed in a black steelbook case with a burning Smash Bros. logo emblazoned in the middle. In addition, the bundle contains a Smash Bros. theme Switch Pro Controller, which has white grip and a white Smash Bros. logo on the face. You can look at pictures of both below.

The American special edition comes out on the same date as the standard version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: December 7th. It retails for $ 140; As of this writing, it is only available for pre-order from Best Buy and GameStop. The Smash-themed Switch Pro Controller can be purchased separately for $ 75 and is also available for pre-order from Best Buy and GameStop.

Europe's special edition packages also launch on 7 December. It sells for £ 90 and together with a copy of the game, packs in a GameCube controller plus the adapter needed to use it on Swap in a large collector box. Both the adapter and a new line of GameCube controls will also be available for purchase separately later this year. Those who already own the adapter released along with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, will be able to use it with Switch.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has the largest selection of playable characters and stages on time, with more than 70 fighters and 103 stages. Nintendo arranged a special live presentation dedicated to the game earlier in August, revealing five more playable characters including Simon and Richter Belmont from Castlevania and King K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country. You can read more about the game in our interpretation of everything we know about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate so far.
