Skyrim’s Enderal mod has been updated for Special Edition

The giant overhaul module that creates a new RPG in Skyrim’s engine now has its own Special Edition upgrade. Enderal’s creators have moved on to a new project, but fans of fashion have created a version that will work with Skyrim Special Edition if you avoid going back to oldrim for your modding needs.

Enderal’s creators SureAI released the latest update to their huge Skyrim conversion mode just last month. They also announced that they are currently working on their own game. One that does not require owning Skyrim, that is. Enderal has another game in itself, other than the addiction. Because of the work on their new game, SureAI said they would not work on a special edition of Enderal.

Thank goodness for modders. Or modders as mod mods? Anyway, some Enderal fans have gone in to convert biggo dark RPG to the newer and slightly better version of Skyrim.

You can find Enderal SE on Nexus Mods where uploaders explain the process of converting the original Enderal download to a Special Edition compatible one. It’s a bit fiddly for now, but apparently a Steam version of the special edition mod is planned for March.
