Separately, the Bloober Team says they have spent over a year with ‘another horror IP’ from a ‘famous game publisher’
Rumors are circulating that Konami is finally doing something significant again Silent Hill.
While the abandoned series has drawn will-they-do-not-speculate for years, it’s hard not to daydream about what can and should be, no matter how many rumors fail. The latest word from VGC suggests that Konami has approached external partners to help revitalize Silent Hill.
The outlet heard from sources that a Supermassive pitch did not go forward, and that Konami has “outsourced a Silent Hill project to a prominent Japanese developer, with a reveal due this summer. “

On a separate, but (perhaps) related note, which suggests that it may be more than a modern interpretation of Silent Hill, speculation has emerged from a GamesIndustry.biz interview with Bloober Team boss Peter Babieno, in which he commented on the studio’s next horror game.
Babieno says they have “worked for more than a year on another game project, another horror IP, and we do this with one very well known game publisher. I can not tell you who. I can not tell you what the project is, but I’m pretty sure that when people realize we’re working on it, they’ll be very excited. “
It’s a long shot, but I can imagine the creator of Make of fear, Blair Witch, and The medium collaborate with Konami for a new effort Silent Hill, especially with the way the publisher has lent the brand to modern horror games with multiple players like Death by daylight and Monsters & Mortals.
That the will to license tells me that everything can be on the table – that it is only a matter of time. If all else fails, and Silent Hill fans feel burned again, at least we have Keiichiro Toyama’s Bokeh Game Studio.
