It will never happen in a match, but it’s still cool
Sephiroth is, of course, one of the most iconic villains in video game history, so it seems only fitting that he will also end up as the character with the highest damage potential in all of Super Smash Bros.Ultimate.
Content creators Nintendo Unity have recently put together a video describing how Sephiroth̵
This incredible amount of impact is achieved through the use of items, liquor, stage danger, Assist Trophies and a bit of utilization of a few menu options that many players have probably never touched before.
The biggest increase in damage actually comes from the Vince Assist Trophy considering that it multiplies damage during his painting with wood that also stacks / combines with Sephiroth’s own winged shape buffer, Franklin Badges for reflection multipliers, and Dark Emperor from the Find Mii scene – which apparently can give a 1.78 times damage increase itself.
Giga Flare to the absolute maximum must also be performed against Shulk, since his Buster art causes him to take 1.3 times damage from incoming attacks, plus Sephiroth must be strengthened in the options for custom balance.
What really pushes the neutral special over the edge is the fact that it technically hits multiple times with full charge, so the combined multipliers lead to a bunch of hits that give over 5000 percent each before the final explosion gives over 16,000 for a total sum of 59 275 percent.
What’s extra nuts is that Sephiroth could probably reach over 100,000 damage if he hits the final Giga Flare reflection with Home Run Bat, but that was not included in the setup here, as it would technically require the Final Fantasy villain to perform a second attack.
If you want to get your mind on Shulk’s health bar by Smash science, we highly recommend taking a look at Nintendo Unity’s full video below to go through the step-by-step process.
