It looks like Sony breaks down on risque content in games released on PlayStation platforms across the board. First, Omega Labyrinth Z was interrupted differently, and now the apparent change in attitude or policy series Senran Kagura affects. Today, Xseed Games announced that Senran Kagura Burst Re: Newal is delayed because the publisher must remove "Intimacy Mode" from the game.
Here is Xseed's complete sentence:
The release of Senran Kagura Burst Re: Newal will be a little delayed as we remaster to remove the interactive "Intimacy Mode" from the PS4 version. The Steam version releases with that mode intact and will start at the same time as the PS4. We are looking forward to sharing the release date and appreciate your patience.
Xseed followed the claim with a second tweet that simply says: "We respect the platformer's wishes."
This seems like a strange one, as several previous entries in the series Senran Kagura have obviously also included Intimacy Mode, all of which made it into their respective PlayStation platforms intact.
Unfortunately, this breakdown from Sony also seems to have taken ToeJam & Earl: Back in Groove in the wake of. Fans eagerly wait to get intimate with ToeJam and his funky friend Earl may have to prepare for disappointment.
