Project JUDGE is now a judge.
Advertised at the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, SEGA's verdict, from the developers of the Yakuza series, led to the west in 201
Formerly known as Project Judge, the verdict puts you in shoes from Yagami, a lawyer who is now running a detective agency.
The latest trailer shows Takayuki Yagami who explores a series of three murders on Yakuza that all had their eyes removed.
While the verdict will not contain any characters from the Yakuza series, they are both in a shared universe, and this latest title takes place in Kamurocho, the fictional Tokyo district of the Yakuza series.
Studio head and project manager Toshihiro Nagoshi told IGN Japan to have cameos "could draw people out of this new experience, so I do not want to include them."
We got hands on the verdict earlier this year and while the systems and the mechanics did not revolutionize, it was that reaction and presentation made us eager to keep playing.
When the verdict comes to the west on PlayStation 4, it will do it with the original Japanese VO and an English dub, the first in a Yakuza University title since the original Yakuza for PlayStation 2 in 2006.
