Satechi's new USB-C hub addresses iMac's back problems

Apple's iMac has made a conscious choice to hide all its ports on the back of the computers for over a decade. And while it looks gorgeous, anyone who has had to go through the acrobatics can blindly try to get a USB cable connected, knowing that it's not always the most functional feature.

Satechi's new Stand Hub looks like it could be a pretty good solution for anyone who is struggling with the rearward gates. The stand hub is designed as a single aluminum number and connects via USB-C and offers a USB-C port, three USB Type-A ports, SD and microSD slots and a headset connector ̵

1; all within easy reach. For older Macs that do not have a USB-C port, Satechi will include a USB-C to USB Type-A adapter, so you can still benefit from the extra ports.

While Stand Hub is intended to be used with Apple's iMacs (it even comes in matching aluminum and even a space gray option for iMac Pro users), there's no reason to You could not use it with any USB-C computer that fits the stand.

Tripod hub is available today for $ 89.99 from Satechis website and Amazon. It's not exactly the cheapest price for a USB hub, but the inclusion of USB-C and the iMac-specific design can make it worthwhile if there are priorities for you.
