Samsung has just announced what feels like the zillionth event this year. But at least we expected this. The company just sent out invitations to Galaxy Unpacked for August 11 at 10:00 AM ET, and the event will only be held online.
In recent years, Samsung launched launches in August for its Note series with powerful phones. This time, however, several reports have indicated that there will not be a new note. It has become a more likely opportunity now, after the company brought Pen support to the Galaxy S21 flagships this year. The pen has been a hallmark of the Note line since it was conceived, and has separated the series from S-marked siblings.
Instead of a new note, it is more likely that we will see new folding phones as a follow-up to Z Flip and Z Fold 2 based on the invitation. Samsung unveiled more flexible display concepts in May, and although it may take some time until we see the designs in a real product, the company is clearly continuing to work on the technology. Samsung also confirmed that it will launch a new Galaxy Watch on this unpacked, and the device will run a version of Wear OS as it was with Google. There is also a good chance that Samsung will debut new earplugs since “Galaxy Buds 2” has leaked twice this month.
We will stream Samsung’s event live on our YouTube channel, where we will host a pre-show and a question and answer after the company’s finish. Come and join us to watch the launch together live and get answers to your questions as soon as possible.
