Samsung will roll out Galaxy Note 9 on August 24 with two internal storage options of either 128 GB or 512 GB. In the US, the 128GB model is priced at $ 999.99, while the 512GB model is priced at $ 1,249.99.
Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders are constantly coming in, and according to a report from The Korea Herald Investor, something interesting is happening in Samsung's home country in South Korea.
The report claims that more than half of the customers who preordered Galaxy Note 9 in South Korea have chosen the 512GB version over the 128GB version. This is despite the price difference of about 260,000 won, equivalent to around $ 233, between the two models.
Customers can also choose the 512 GB model for Galaxy Note 9 due to its higher 8 GB RAM, compared to just 6 GB for the 128 GB model. Users can also enjoy as much as 1TB of storage on the Galaxy Note 9 512GB version via the microSD slot.
The expectation was that the higher price point of the 512 GB model will keep sales lower compared to the 128 GB model, but Samsung fans are willing to pay in exchange for more storage and RAM.
The report also showed that the most popular color for Galaxy Note 9 prerequisites was blue and that preorders for the smartphone have been better than the Galaxy S9, but worse than Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specifications and features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, a longer battery life, an AI powered camera, an upgraded S Pen stylus and Bixby 2.0. The Galaxy Note 9 screen has also recently received the highest score from DisplayMate, the industry standard for testing on various electronic devices.
Is Galaxy Note 9 being the iPhone X killer that Samsung has been waiting for? Only time will tell, but at least in South Korea, the smartphone is already on a good start.
