Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy A8s with punch hole display into China. The handset is expected to debut in major markets in January 2019. The South Korean company is also rumored to release the budget-friendly Galaxy M series of smartphones soon. It is also speculated to announce the Galaxy S10 series on February 20 in front of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 scheduled to launch on February 25. The company is also preparing new Galaxy A-series smartphones called Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50. The latter was recently seen on Geekbench. Now, some more details about the specifications have been leaked.
New information shows that the Galaxy A50 will be equipped with a 24 megapixel front camera. For safety, the Galaxy A50 will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the display. However, it will not be equipped with advanced and accurate ultrasound in-display fingerprint scanners that are expected to be available on the upcoming Galaxy S1
An earlier report had revealed that the upcoming Galaxy A50 has a model number SM-A505. It can be an upper midrange phone since it is rumored to arrive in 64 GB and 128 GB storage models. The report had also revealed that the Galaxy A50 will be available in colors such as black, white, silver, blue and pink.
The Galaxy A50 has recently been shown on Geekbench to reveal that it will be the first handset to be powered by Exynos 9610 smartphone. The handset is preloaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The variant of the Galaxy A50 that appeared on the benchmarking platform has 4 GB of RAM. Therefore, the 64 GB model on the phone appears to contain 4 GB of RAM, while the 128 GB version can come with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM.
There is no information available on the launch date of the Galaxy A50. However, it is not speculated that the company may announce in Q2 2019 after the launch of the Galaxy S10 and S10 +.
