Salt and Sacrifice announced for PS5, PS4 and PC

Salt and sacrifice

Ska Studios has announced Salt and sanctuary follow up Salt and sacrifice for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will launch in Q1 2022 for $ 19.99 with English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese language support.

Here is an overview of the game via Ska Studios:

In the Alterstone Kingdom, criminals imprisoned face two choices for their punishment: death or service. Most people choose execution, but some brave people choose to live life in penance as Market Inquisitors. These wandering unrighteous hunt the evil Mages and devour their hearts to prevent them from further terrorizing the Kingdom.

Customize the crime, appearance and class of a branded inquisitor. Choose from one of eight starting classes ̵

1; Highblade, Paladin, Assassin, Cleric, Dualist, Fighter, Ranger or Sage – and participate in Abdominal Rite. Immerse the holy drink, say the words and get away from the rite of the Mark, in a fluid state between life and death. The inquisitors are free from deadly fear and promise to shed blood from Mages to end the cruelty.

Prepare for each excursion on Pardoner’s Vale, a hub filled with friendly inquisitors. Go out and wander eerie villages, tomb temples and swamp kingdoms in single player or drop-in drop-out online co-op. Find clues and track more than 20 types of Mages, including fiery pyromancers, poisonous Venomancers, and abominable Corpumancers. Use grappling hooks and chase them, killing them in a battle-roll style on the side.

Plunder the remains of Mages to create new equipment with Runic Arts, and give the Inquisitors unique new abilities. Search each dilapidated corner across multiple maps for powerful melee weapons, lethal weapons and protective armor and charm. Join multiplayer, including the collaborative Dawnlight Order and the player-killing Shroud Alliance.

Ska Studios brings back its signature hand-drawn look, giving each cave with candlelight and misty forests a personal touch. The expansive Bestiary has more than 100 monsters, many inspired by Scandinavian folklore. James Silva’s haunting score injects a sense of love throughout the journey.
