A new supply chain report from Macotakara This weekend it says that Apple has new AirPods Pro and a new iPhone SE about to be released in April 2021. The report says that the new AirPods Pro will include a redesigned charging case, but details about the iPhone SE are unclear.
AirPods Pro 2
The reporter quotes Chinese supply chain sources as saying that the second-generation AirPods Pro will have a “new design for the charging case.” It will reportedly be 21 mm thick, while it will be 46 mm high and 54 mm wide. For the sake of comparison, the current AirPods Pro charging case measures 45.2 mm high and 60.6 mm wide, so this would mean that the second generation case would really be different, but not drastic.
There are no other details about what to expect with the second generation AirPods Pro in this report. Former, Bloomberg reported that the 2nd generation AirPods Pro would have a “more compact”
For the unknown, the Amazon Echo knobs have a stem-free design that is completely round and rests inside the user’s ear.
The Bloomberg however, the report warned that such design changes are not guaranteed because it is challenging to package the AirPods Pro devices into a more compact design. If it Macotakara to be assumed, AirPods Pro 2 could be released as soon as April.
iPhone SE 3
Further today Macotakara The report says that Apple will also release a new third generation iPhone SE in April. The report gives no details on what to expect from the iPhone SE 3, but a release in April will come exactly one year after the 4.7-inch iPhone SE was released in 2020.
Rumor has it that Apple is working on a larger version of the iPhone SE, probably with a 5.5-inch screen and a design similar to the iPhone 8 Plus. Whether this is what today’s report refers to remains to be seen.
