Rocket League comes to phones

Rocket League comes to mobile devices. Rocket League Sideswipe is a new version of the multiplayer game that is on its way to iOS and Android devices, developer Psyonix announced on Wednesday.

Sideswipe will contain all Rocket Leagueis famous car-football-action, just a little less. The game contains 1v1 or 2v2 matches that only last for two minutes each. Sideswipe will also include online multiplayer. Just like the original version of the game, Rocket League Sideswipe will be free to download and play.

While most of the game will be recognizable to everyone who is playing Rocket League on other platforms before, Psyonix introduces some changes to make the game easier to play and control on mobile platforms. The game will have slightly modified controls that are optimized for mobile and a different camera perspective that will keep your car easy to track even on small screens.

Psyonix does not have an official release date for Rocket League Sideswipe yet, but the developer says it hopes to release the game worldwide later this year. The developer also plans to release beta versions and tests for the game in the near future. These tests will be divided by region, and players in Australia and New Zealand will have their first chance to test the game from Wednesday.
