EA has announced that the Respawn developer behind the critically acclaimed first person shooter Titanfall 2 is scheduled to start more games by the end of 2019. The EA or Respawn works have confirmed what these games may be. The announcement came during quarterly earnings, when EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated: "In several studies, we have new projects underway, including games from Respawn, which are scheduled to launch next season." Respawn currently works with three titles, so Wilson's reference to "game" as opposed to just "one game" means that at least two will be released next year. From now on, Respawn is working on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, another Titan Fall game and a named VR title.
Details of all three games are pretty vague, but Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella was able to confirm some details about the Jedi Fallen Order on E3 201
Zampella has talked with GameSpot about Titanfall before admitting that Titanfall 2's sales should have been much better and cited the game's launch window between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as a serious injury. With that, it would be a bit odd that EA has Respawn launch another Titanfall game during the busy holidays. So if the next Titan fall comes out in 2019, we're thinking it would be released earlier this year. But we have to wait and see.
Although not much, we have some more information about the Jedi Fallen Order. The game takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope and puts the players in the role of a Jedi Padawan who ran Order 66. Zampella describes the game that takes place during one of the Star Wars darkest periods, and promises players will be able to use a lightsaber.
