The best Star Wars games that do not involve the player swinging a lightsaber will get an April 6 release on PlayStation 4 and Switch, but those looking for a physical version of Republic Commando must wait until April 16, when the four-week pre-order window opens Limited runits physical version, including a $ 90 collector’s edition filled with amazing Star Wars thing.
I do not need a cool collector’s edition for most games, but I do make exceptions for classics that have given me as much joy over the years as the Delta Squad adventures in the cracks between Clones Attack and Revenge of the Sith. So when I see a collector’s set with a limited edition with a beautiful box with a helmet, a steel box, a commemorative coin, a beautiful little poster, a thermal detonator pin and some art cards, I notice.
Along with the PS4 and Switch releases, the Limited Run collector’s edition also comes in PC flavor, with a CD jewel bag mounted on a blister card as if it were an action figure. I already own the game on PC in several different forms, but I may have room for one more.
Look for the $ 30 physical editions and the $ 90 collector’s edition to pre-order on the April 16 Limited Run website.
