Announced back in 2019, Rainbow Six Quarantine news did not actually appear last year, except to mention that it was delayed until the “first half of 2021” during Ubisoft’s quarterly earnings calls.
While Ubisoft has been the mother of new details, it seems that the publisher is moving forward with the game, as a file for it has been uploaded to PlayStation Network! This file numbers the game version as 1.01, citing it as the “first launch update.”
Upon further digging, we found what appears to be an image from the file belonging to the PS4 of the icon for dash, startup and storage of data, and mention of Rainbow Six Parasite, which may be Rainbow Six Quarantine̵
In addition, we have also managed to get a picture of the Remote Play feature using PlayStation Vita, where it is also called “Rainbow Six Parasite.” Unfortunately, there is no description of what each button does.
Here is the official description of the game back when Ubisoft revealed it:
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine ™ is a troop-based survival FPS for 3 players developed by a brand new team at Ubisoft Montreal.
Rainbow Six operators will face a mysterious threat that infects human hosts and their surroundings. Prepare to embark on tense, chaotic and completely unpredictable missions when you and your squad risk everything every time you go into quarantine.
If Parasite really is the ultimate title, there is one that fits, and that actually makes the art of distancing itself from COVID-19.
We have contacted Ubisoft and will update the post if we receive a response.
