Putting off iOS updates for a week or two is generally fine, but it’s probably a good idea to download the latest one, iOS 14.4.2, as soon as you can. It fixes a security flaw that Apple claims may have been exploited in nature (via MacRumors). The update also applies to iPadOS, so take a few minutes a day to go to Settings> General> Software Update.
According to Apple’s update notes, the security flaw allowed universal scripting across websites. In other words, a malicious website or script can access information from other websites you have accessed, which is not good, especially since Apple says some websites can do this.
