PS5 Updates: Retailers at Best Buy, GameStop, Sony, Walmart, Amazon and more

If you are reading this, we assume that you still have not managed to get hold of the highly coveted Sony PlayStation 5. Low inventory at major retailers such as Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, Walmart and Sony in itself means that many players have been stuck in a frustrating and familiar routine: Catch wind in a PS5 inventory drop, get your hopes up, click crazy again and again, wait in line and instead of a PS5 you get the sad “sold out” message. But fear not! There are ways to improve your chances.

First, do not wait until you find out about a PS5 stock. check the store̵

7;s product links yourself daily or even several times daily. (We’ve all listed below.) If you have a chance at any PS5 availability, use as many devices and browsers as you can. For example, on a desktop, you can open the reseller’s page in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. Then you can do the same on your tablet and phone. It’s like a lottery: the more you have, the greater your chances of winning.

If you are starting to crack and are considering buying a PS5 right now, you can do so, but at the expense of an obscene selection on sites like eBay and StockX. On eBay, for example, we have seen a PS5 priced well over $ 1000.

PS5 is available in two versions: There is one $ 500 model with a Blu-ray drive and an otherwise identical $ 400 digital version without disc tracks. At this point, people are happy to get one of them, but if you do not have a library of optical discs – for Blu-ray movies, used games or old PS4 games – CNET recommends you go with the $ 400 version.

You can check Amazon’s page for $ 400 Digital Edition via the button below, or if you’d rather queue for PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500.

You can check the stock of the $ 400 Digital Edition at Walmart by clicking the button below, or you can try to catch the more expensive PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500.

OK, you have exhausted all online and brick retailers, and you have decided that you are willing to pay upwards of $ 300 to get this puppy soon. As your friends, we must tell you: Do not do it. But if you do not want to listen to us, you may want to check out StockX, an eBay alternative that made its name in the secondary market for sneakers and designer clothes. Last time we checked, the prices on the PS5 kept just under $ 700.

If you’ve decided that you simply can not wait a moment for Sony to trade together and flood the market with inventory, eBay is a shortcut to getting your own PS5 right now. That said, let me repeat our advice: No PS5 is worth spending hundreds over list price, and that’s exactly what you need to do if you buy from an eBay retailer. The average PS5 price on eBay is about $ 900.
