Throughout the weekend, we track PS5 inventory from 12 different major retailers in the United States. We may not see new shares until Monday or Tuesday, but that’s why you follow us on Twitter. Last week, we saw the PS5 drop four times: Amazon on Tuesday, Sony Direct on Wednesday, Antonline and Best Buy both on Friday.

We look for PS5 inventory at all major US retailers, including Sony Direct, GameStop, Walmart, Target and Best Best. There are 12 different stores we track, so you can get the PS5 to its normal MSRP.
GameStop is important because it sells PS5 packages. It remains all the dealers who are trying to make money, have to sell games that are easy to buy at full price. It is a much more difficult resale opportunity for them – and an advantage for actual players.
Some basic rules for Sony Direct: Keep in mind that when the PS5 rebuild in the US takes place, it will send you into a virtual queue, and random people will choose to purchase the coveted video game console. You are not guaranteed one.
As we always warn, getting into the Sony Direct queue does not mean that you will find the console in stock. Most people will see “more than one hour of waiting time” from the estimated waiting time. That’s what the message reads to us. For others, they will see a queue in just a few minutes.
Here are some rules, according to Sony:
- You first need an active PSN account to complete the purchase.
- Secondly, you will have 10 minutes to buy the PS5.
- Third: “PS5 consoles are now available but not guaranteed even if you are in line,” according to Sony.a
Trust us, it’s serious to buy PS5 within ten minutes. Make sure you have all the information ready to buy the PS5.
