A note about PS5 making again
PS5 rebuilding is incredibly difficult to fix. Despite our best efforts to provide you with timely updates, Tom’s Guide does not guarantee that you will be able to purchase a console. Nevertheless, we are committed to providing you with up-to-date information on all stock containers as soon as they happen.
Sony Direct is hosting its second PS5 recovery of the month today (Tuesday, July 20). The only invitation will start at 12.00 PT (15.00 ET). This reconstruction comes just days after their last invitation-only event, which took place last Friday.
In the past, Sony has offered PS5 consoles to the general public after completing its invitation-only event. Last week, however, Sony did not open a virtual queue for the general public. It is unclear what will happen today. However, if it̵

How to get alerts from Sony Direct
To receive exclusive invitations from Sony Direct, you want to have an active Sony Direct account and make sure you have alerts set to “yes”. Creating a Sony Direct account is easy. You can register via this link here. Once you have created an account, you will add address and billing information. Having this information on file will make things easier if you can get a PS5 console in your shopping cart.
To turn on alerts from Sony Direct, log in to your account, click “My Profile” and then click the “edit” button from your profile page. You will then be redirected to a new account settings page. From the “page”, select “notifications” from the left column, and make sure you choose to receive news and special offers from Sony.
Keep in mind that this trick does not guarantee that you will receive an invitation in time for the next PS5 fall, but it should increase your chances of the next exclusive Sony Direct PS5 stock.
How to get PS5 if you did not receive an invitation
Usually after a PS5 reload, Sony tends to open its virtual queue to the public. However, this is not always a guarantee. (Last month the dealer sold out completely). If there are additional consoles, there will likely be a recharge for the general public minutes after the sole invitation was completed. (Usually an hour or two after the start of the original release). Of course you can bookmark our page and we will keep you updated on the latest PS5 news from Sony Direct and all major US retailers.
What to do when you are in the queue
When you are in the virtual queue, you get an estimated waiting time. All waiting times vary, and there is a good chance that you will get “more than an hour” waiting time. If so, do not despair. Your status can change quickly, and you may have a shorter waiting time than expected. (For example, after waiting 20 minutes for a previous PS5 restock event, our time was cut from “more than an hour” to just 15 minutes).
Additionally, you may be prompted to resolve a captcha. (A simple challenge / question to make sure you are not a fine). It usually requires you to select a radio box. As a result, you will make sure that the browser tab remains prominent, because if it is not, you may miss your captcha challenge and you may lose your place in the queue.
