PS Plus free PS5 and PS4 games for December 2020 available now

A new month means a new selection of free PlayStation Plus games for subscribers, and December has a number of PS Plus titles that you can claim now. This month, PS Plus members can still claim Bugsnax on PS5, as well as some new PS4 freebies, including an explosive AAA open world game along with a competitive shooter and strategy game.

Cause only 4 is the latest action-adventure game from the open world from Avalanche Studios, and throws the longtime hero Rico into a South American country, often exposed to terrible storms and even tornadoes. As with the previous game in the series, you can destroy almost anything and create some really mind-boggling situations via your gadgets.

Also free is Rocket Arena, a 3-on-3 competitive shooter that has several different heroes and emphasis on dodge and precision shooting. The game received little fanfare when it was released earlier this year, but critic Alessandro Barbosa found some fun with his rocket jumps and various abilities in our Rocket Arena review.

The latest new free game for December is Worms Rumble, which has not even been officially released yet. The last game in the classic strategy series, it is also the first game to have a real-time battle. Up to 32 players can battle it online, and the game even supports multiplayer with multiple games if your friends are on other platforms.

While all three of these new games are PS4 games, they can be played on PS5. The newly launched next generation console can play the vast majority of PS4 games, often with improvements that vary from title to title. Reduced loading times are common, but you can also get more stable frame rates and increased resolutions, depending on how the game was designed.

The PS Plus games in December below you can now – you have until January 4 to add them to your account.
