Hell one out
With the internet's ubiquity it would be wrong to assume that printed strategists were no longer anything. In one way or another, Prima Games has stayed despite the growth of free, easily accessible online guides. It seems that the present has finally come to the company, but as publisher DK has announced that Prima Games will shut down.
Although it will not be officially closed until next spring, the label will not publish any new strategy guides for the rest of this year. I'm not surprised at this trend, but it's still sad for the many fans of printed guides around the world. I was especially fond of recent guides who had extensive art galleries, and collected some just to wear my bookshelf.
I will never forget the youth days where I would take a guide to help you navigate through some of the more ugly N64 games. I'm more surprised Prima does not stand up as a digital alternative to free user-driven review, but I suppose DK just did not see the value in it.
Hell one out for Prima Games.
