To mark 70 years of building some of the most beautiful and famous sports cars in history, the Porsche Classic has created an outstanding vehicle based on its famous 993 generation.
"Project Gold shows the extensive Porsche Classic skill in fascinating fashion," said Detlev von Platen, board member of Porsche AG, responsible for sales and marketing.
This 911 Turbo with an air-cooled engine is painted in car manufacturer's Golden Yellow Metallic, the same color as its 2018 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.
This car also has black wheels with gold highlights, while the seats and decorations are also finished in black with golden yellow details.
Exterior features include air intake of 993 Turbo S which was also available as an alternative to the regular 91
Pushing 450 horsepower, the car will get its world at Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI in California next
Porsche Classic came up with the concept of building a show car based on an existing 993 body shell to showcase both tradition and innovation. The car was boasting Are at Porsche Classic restoration near Stuttgart in Germany, and took about 18 months to build.
Project Gold is built for race race as it can not be registered for use on the street. On October 27, the car will be auctioned by RM Sotheby at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta.
"Porsche 70th Anniversary Sale" is an exclusive auction that boasts nearly 70 Porsche sports cars – each of them showing a part of Porsche's history, from the open road to rally and racecourses.
The auction from the sale of "Project Gold" will be donated in Germany to the Ferry Porsche Foundation. The foundation is an ideal organization dedicated to education, social issues and youth development.
