A new month is just around the corner, which means that Pokémon Go players have another community to look forward to soon. Developer Niantic has announced the first details of next month's event, scheduled to take place Saturday, January 12, and will include the final launcher Pokemon: Totodile.
Throughout the event, Totodile will do much more often than anything it normally does. Based on previous Community Days, players will also have a chance to find a shiny Totodile during the event, although Niantic has not yet confirmed this.
Further, whose players manage to develop Totodile in their final form, Feraligatr, up to one hour after the Community Day ends, Pokemon will recognize a special event-exclusive movement that it would not normally be able to learn. Niantic has not yet revealed what this feature is, but it will be announced closer to the Community Day.
In addition to increased Totodile spikes, Niantic will offer a few bonuses in January's Felless Day. First, incubators will be four times as effective as usual, so you can hatch eggs at a quarter of the distance they will usually require. In addition, the Lure modules will remain active for three hours, instead of the usual 30-minute duration.
As usual, January's Felless Day will only run for three hours and it starts at different times depending on what part of the world you live in. You will find the full event plan for each region below.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Gos third annual holiday event is underway, giving a handful of new Gen 4 Pokemon like Bronzor, Snover and Skorupi to the game. Niantic also offers various bonuses during the event a few days until it ends 2 January. On top of that, a new Gen 4 Legendary Pokemon, Heatran, has begun to appear in Raid Battles around the world.
