PlayStation Plus really wants us to play Days Gone in April

The April 2021 series for PS Plus is Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5), Days Gone (PS4) and Zombie Army 4: Dead War (PS4)

Sony is back with three games for PlayStation Plus in April, and that’s interesting.

Some people – especially PlayStation 5 owners – are likely to feel briefly altered by Sony’s decision to dive. From April 6 to May 3, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5 only), The days are gone, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War for their library.

In a vacuum, I like this line-up, but for anyone who has received a “free”

; copy of The days are gone with its PS5 through the PlayStation Plus Collection campaign, it’s a retreading. Of course, there is a lot to like about this open world – more than people first thought – and there is one fleshy game. As a freebie, it is a solid choice.

We already knew about Oddworld: Soulstorminclusion after a recent State of Play (it felt like the sixth time we’ve seen this long-running game appear on a stream), so it’s not a surprise. Are you curious? It is worth repeating it though Soulstorm launched on PS4 as well, you can only claim the PS5 version through PS Plus – aleven if you do not need to own the console yet to do so.

When it comes to Zombie Army 4, I have never cheated and fallen in love with this wild series, but I am strangely open to the idea. I’m back on Resident Evil 4 train and have gone hard with mercenaries. When I have done everything I can with the whole crew, I will be in the mood for a more hectic, explosive chaos.

If you have not done this already, do not forget to grab Ratchet & Clank free (deadline is March 31) and the rest of the Play At Home 2021 games as well (you have until April 22). Unlike the PlayStation Plus titles for April, anyone can redeem these items with a free account.
