Path Of Exile 2 has been quiet since it was announced in late 2019, in part due to some delays caused by Covid-19. Now the free game RPG sequel has reappeared with a new trailer and a twenty-minute review.

I’m not a Path Of Exile expert, so the first thing that comes to mind here is how much nicer it is than the first game. Path Of Exile has had regular updates, but is still an eight-year-old game, at this time. It̵
The entire twenty-minute review (built-in below) explains more about the structure of the game’s second act (of a planned seven), and shows its new spear and crossbow weapon classes. Spears give you mobility skills, so you can fight in battle for damage bonuses, while crossbows provide attack skills you can customize with bolt skill beads. In either case, the battle looks like an impact, and the graphical upgrade has apparently not forced the Grinding Gear Games to reduce the number of enemies you want to fight at a time.
Given the length, there are more details in the video than I can reasonably call out in the post. I especially want to use the permafrost bolts in the crossbow, so I can crush enemies with a new hit. And I love the clips about 6 minutes into the video that turn into spiders and reels to attack the player.
Path Of Exile 2 will go into beta sometime in 2022, which means that it could theoretically end up with Diablo 4.
