The first half of Minecraft’s major Caves and Cliffs update comes next Tuesday, June 8th.
It’s for both Bedrock and Java versions of the game, said Microsoft, which means (deep breath) PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Mac and Linux.
This is the first part of the long-awaited and recently split Caves and Cliffs update, which includes various creatures and some new blocks.
Keep an eye on the mountain goat, which can knock you off the mentioned cliffs. Also included is the aquatic axolotl, which will hunt other creatures underwater for you. There is also a glowing squid, a refugee from the now canned Pokémon Go-like Minecraft Earth.
New blocks include amethyst, which can be used to make the new binocular object, and copper, which will age the look over time ̵
As previously announced, the second half of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update will now arrive “around the holidays” to ensure that the development team has time to deal with various unexpected issues without compromising the team’s health. The update’s originally detailed archeology system has been further delayed – do not expect to dust off this year.
