NiP signs 4 players for Fortnite: Battle Royale roster

Popular esports organizations Ninjas in pajamas have jumped into Fortnite: Battle Royale esports who signed four players to make their first roster in the game.

Dean "Cringe" Lawrence, Max "Goofy" Rosenlind, Patrik "Xited" Heiberg and Anastasios "Yung" Timpanidis are the newest ninjas and they will certainly meet high expectations from fans.

The roaster is multinational, with players from Denmark, Belgium, and NiP's homeland, Sweden. Unlike some other rosters, this arrangement also has two separate duos instead of a full four-stroke. Cringe and Yung competed earlier in events together, like Goofy and Xited.

NiP has a long list of achievements in other games, especially Counter-Strike. In 201

2 and 2013, NiP was undoubtedly the best team in the world while it was on a 87-card winning line. While the team has been in relatively difficult times in recent years with a recent big drought, fans and critics are still expecting to see the absolute best of the Swedish power plant – and it will probably extend to Fortnite.

"We have been on the sidelines that observe the phenomenon Fortnite, eager to enter the scene," said NiP's CEO Hicham Chahine in a press release. "As it's still early days, we've done something work to understand the scene and how to get involved in the best way. The signing of four talented European players and helping them grow is our first step in what will hopefully be a fun try! While the team has not found the kind of success that the organization is likely to expect without championships, NiP is of course not hesitant to enter another match royal games.

With Fortnite the roster signing, NiP will join Europe for a long time CS: GO rivals Fnatic and Virtus Pro, who have also recently signed players.
