Must disagree with the “It’s a handheld first” section since I think Nintendo went out of their way to make it a real hybrid. Where you can see that they achieved it is how people use it differently. Personally, I hardly use it as a handheld, and some games only need a big screen. But others play it both ways, and some even mostly handheld. That’s the genius of the Switch … Well, part of that. But the price was lower specifications, yes.
Anyway, since they can not compete with the two (actually 3 since PC games are constantly growing), power beasts Switch is a perfect place for unique games. They already have a lot, but if third parties are smart, and someone like Capcom seems to be, more exclusive games should be on their way to the occasional gate. Astral Chain and Octopath both sold over a million copies each. Nintendo makes great games, but they can not push enough of them alone, so third parties should look at their sales now! It̵
Nintendo should, in my opinion, partner with third parties for Pro. That way, not only will MP4 and BOTW2 use them well, but some third-party games may be part of the launch. And it will still be in the Switch family and continue to sell for a few years until it is the successor.
It’s about offering new gaming experiences for all Switch owners.
This can also mean additions, which can be a difficult thing. PSVR worked for Sony, but Kinekt for MS … Not so much. But hey! It’s Nintendo. They like to surprise us.
