Nintendo Direct Live Streaming: Look at the Switch and 3DS event here

It's time for another Nintendo Direct video event today at 3 Pacific time. This is one of Nintendo's streaming presentations. This time it focuses on the 3DS and Switch systems. It is unlike many of the latest game-specific Nintendo Directs.

You can catch Nintendo Direct live here:

What to expect from Nintendo Direct

Nintendo will surely cover its previously revealed holiday games like Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee and Let's Go , Pikachu and the mentioned Smash Bros. But expects the publisher to also fill out some of its gaps for later this year and early next year with previously unannounced releases.

The name of Yoshi's Crafted World leaked already last week, but rumors surround New Super Mario Bros. You get a port for the switch. Nintendo can also share information about its Four Emblem: Three Kingdoms tactical strategy game, which comes to Switch at some point next year. If things get really wild, I bet on Metroid Prime 4, and some other Metroid messages could get into this directly.

Nintendo Switch Online

But Nintendo will also use this broadcast as a starter for its online service. Nintendo Switch Online, as it is called, launches September 1

8th. It's only five days away. The publisher plans to release the 6.0.0 Switch firmware update, and it will allow people to access the premium network service.

For $ 20 a year, Nintendo Switch Online will give players access to online multiplayer in games like Splatoon 2. You also get sky savings. Nintendo has drawn some arson from fans, but because the cloud saves will not work with all games. It is except Splatoon 2, for example. The company says it is concerned about cheating and other problems.

In addition to online multiplayer, Nintendo Switch Online will also have a library of classic NES games. For the first time ever, Nintendo updates many of its 8-bit classics with online multiplayer.

But while all this is interesting, it does not matter if we do not get a new Animal Crossing.
