Twitch and PepsiCo announced today that they bring Doritos Bowl to the live streaming platform. This is an invitation contest that will have top performers who play Call of Duty: Black Ops 4s Blackout Battle Royal. Doritos Bowl will be the midst of the TwitchCon fans in San Jose on October 27th.
This is a promotional self for Dorito and Call of Duty, which has had a multi-year partnership. To ensure that the event draws a plethora of personal and online, Twitch stars are the Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek headlining event. Other creators involved in the tournament are Jack "CouRage" Dunlop and Ben "DrLupo" Lupo. All four men will put together their own squads that will fight together to overlap the other teams.
Fortunately, for Ninja, Doritos has not confirmed whether any women will attend. Swhoo! It was close.
"Doritos Bowl takes the brand's long story into games to new heights and puts us in front and in the game environment," said Frida-Lay Marketing Director Leslie Vesper. "When you have names and partners like Doritos, Twitch and Ninja all together, you know it's going to be an epic event. We hope this will be something unlike anyone ever seen in games."
So while Ninja would not invite Vesper to the power to play games, he does not mind taking money from her.
To be fair to Ninja, he said he would play games with women in an event like Dorito's Bowl. explained in a statement on Twitter that he excludes a whole gender only on his personal platform because he does not want to invite rumors and harassment from the public. Initially, inclusivity is not worth it to ninja because it would cause him trouble .
But shows up to collect a paycheck and play games while his fingers are covered by Dorito's dust? Now there's no problem at all.
