QuakeCon 2018 is on its way, and as promised, fans have provided a number of new details on a number of Bethesda's upcoming titles. In addition to revealing the first game of Doom Eternal, the publisher's main note took a new game demo of Rage 2, the open world post-apocalyptic shooter comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC next year.
The demo, which you can see above, provides another extended look of the game in action, including viewing of the first recording of a konvoo takedown. The clip begins with an overview of the story, revealing that Rage 2 is set 30 years after the events of the first game. The earth has begun to recover after being ravaged by a global disaster, and plant and animal life has begun to jump around the world.
Players assume the role of a sign from Vineland, which they have recently had to flee after it was attacked by the authority. The demo then kickes through a wetland area to trace Dr. Kvasir. A fire damage soon breaks out with authorization mutants, showing some of the weapons you get in your arsenal ̵
Later in the demonstration, the player character ventures to the Eden Space Center to call down the Eco-15 from the runway. However, the plant has been exceeded by Goon Squad, one of the many fictions devoted to control over the wilderness. Each of these gangs has its own distinct fighting style; Goon Squad is described as "hyper violent and totally lawless" while the Shrouded are "elite bandits who have access to incredible tech."
We also look at some of the vehicles you can control. Bethesda says that these will play an even more integrated role in Rage 2. Of course, you will not be the only one who has access to vehicles; Enemy factors will also roam the world in their own characteristic rides and you will come across "massive" convoys with a strong leader.
Rage 2 still has no release date but the game is ready to arrive for PS4, Xbox One and PC in spring 2019. We started a short demonstration of the game before the E3 revealed but was not sure what they should think about.
