It turned out last week that more smartwatches from Moto are coming this year. An investor presentation showed three upcoming Wear OS devices from Moto, but a fourth that appears to use the Snapdragon Wear 4100 was also subtly shown.
A product map for 2021 said that a “Moto G Smartwatch” should arrive in June, while July should see “Moto Watch” and “Moto One.” The presentation has see photos through, including on the other side.
Some have now noticed that the outer ring of this named watch – after various visual adjustments – says “Snapdragon Wear 41
Today’s Moto 360 is printed with “Wear 3100” in another position, while this mysterious white watch also notes the standard presence of GPS, NFC, and provides an ATM watertightness that can be either “3” or “5”. as some have speculated.
The heart rate sensor appears to be largely the same, but the underside is transparent to reveal a charging coil that suggests that the Moto can move away from pogo sticks to wireless power. Other small adjustments see the crown with vertical – instead of curly – grooves, while there are visible screws that fasten the watch straps.
We get a new overview of the two adjustments from another white Wear OS watch seen at the very end of this presentation. This is probably the same Snapdragon Wear 4100 device, but from the front. This image is interestingly watermarked with “2020102301.”
This device, provided it is genuine and not just a representation, is not shown in the upcoming roadmap – the three products do not have extruded, circular buttons. As such, the watch we see may be a follow-up to the Moto 360 and as an existing product may not be considered included in the slide.
There is only one Wear 4100 watch on the market today with the latest Fossil offerings still using the 3100. If this device is met, Moto will add the Wear OS space the necessary choice and competition. It is not clear when this possible Moto 360 successor will be launched.
