What does Leffen want to make the game shine competitively
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the most rated game on the Nintendo Switch for 2018 and is the fastest selling title in the franchise, but that doesn't mean it's a perfect game.
William 'TSM | Leffen' Hjelte is generally not listed as one of the gods of Melee, but he has been one of the few in the world who have challenged them and won on many occasions including taking home the EVO championship title for the Smash game earlier this year.
He is also one of the leading content creators for Smash Ultimate since the game released with others like Tempo, who have been constantly streaming and uploading videos everyday.
Hjelte is also known for speaking his mind whenever he comes across something he doesn't like in games or communities, and in that way he's recently uploaded an in-depth video to his YouTube channel about the top five worst things in Smash Ultimate's Opinion in his Opinion
Leffen begins his video with the disclaimer that he really enjoys playing Smash Ultimate and will also be making five top things video, but he wants to talk about what he'd like to see change going forward
The first issue of the EVO champion brings up what is to be "half baked new mechanics" in Ultimate including the parry mechanic, directional air dodging, stage morphing, the final smash meter and other changes or mechanics added to or brought back to the fighter. Many of these Leffen feels are poorly implemented or are too weak / boring to be outside of gimmicks or some casual play.
Some other topics include edge guarding, the buffer system, Nintendo's patch releases and more with handy notes included. You can check out Leffen's full video after the jump, but be warned there is NSFW language throughout.
