Marshall was aware of details, but the previous models had Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, along with multiroom and Chromecast sound, so we expect the new models to do that too. Speakers carry Marshall's signature look and logo, along with Class D amplifiers and custom drivers for a "balanced and dynamic response." Stanmore II Voice $ 399 (£ 349) is prepaid today, with deliveries as of October 2nd. Meanwhile, pre-sales for $ 299 (£ 269) Acton II commences on October 2 with availability on November 9th. Both will launch in the US and follow other markets.
Together with Voice speakers, Marshall presented a new portable speaker, Kilburn II. It has a new look compared to the latest model and packs a lot of updated technology, including Bluetooth 5.0 aptX support for enhanced audio quality and more reach, 20 plus hours of playtime, multiserver functionality to switch between devices and an IPX2 water-repellent design.
It also has a special "Blumlein stereo audio" system that separates spatial content "and reassembles the signal in a way that can be projected in all directions," provides an enhanced multi-directional experience, Marshall said. Kilburn II is now available for purchase from dealers and on the Marshall Headphones website for $ 299 or £ 269 in the UK.
