Magic: The Gathering has always had a rich canvas loss for all the tires, but now it is tapping into a whole new font in existing fantasy history. Two upcoming decks will combine existing MTG games with fan favorites Lord of the Rings and Warhammer 40K.

The crossover decks were announced on Tuesday as part of the Magic Showcase 2021. First comes the Warhammer 40,000 Commander Decks, which arrives in the third quarter of 2022 and contains new art, new cards and prints.

So in 2023 we see the release of The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-earth, and if you think there’s too much content to fit in one tire, you’ll be right- they make a whole booster set around it.

Not only will you be able to play cards with fan favorites like Gandalf, Frodo and even Gollum, players will also be able to recover important moments from the series in their game, from fighting alongside Aragorn to traveling to the top of the fearsome mountain. . Doom.

Good news, the expansion can be played not only on the tabletop, but also online and in Magic: The Gathering Arena. Magic Showcase is also included a release window for the upcoming Netflix animated series, featuring the talent of ex-Superman Brandon Routh.
