Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon 2019 edition sees luxury smartwatch get a battery boost

We knew that a new Louis Vuitton smartwatch was coming, and now the luxury engine brand has revealed its second-generation smartwatch that will again run on Google's Wear OS operating system.

There doesn't seem to be any official details of the new clock on the Tambour Horizon section of Louis Vuitton's website, but the people at Engadget seem to have a decline in what we can expect from the 2019 edition of the LV smart watch.

While the Wear watch looks to keep the circular look like its predecessor, the most notable change is under the stylish exterior with the introduction of Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 31

00 processor. It is set to provide performance improvements across the board, including a boost in battery life. You should now expect a full day of battery life and up to five days when you just use the clock to show the time.

Improvements have been made in the display department even with a higher resolution touchscreen now in tow, although there are no specifications on screen specifications. A new 24-hour clock feature on the clock will indicate when it is day or night and will be visible when the clock is ambient. You can also expect to pick up the watch in new looks and colors, including a model similar to the monogram white an LV unveiled back in April this year.

So what about that price? Well, this is a luxury smartwatch we're talking about. While Louis Vuitton has not revealed how much the Tambour Horizon 2019 edition will cost, or when it becomes available, it is safe to assume that it will not be too far beyond the £ 2.140 cost of owning the first Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon.

We were quite big fans of the first clock and it was highly famous by the 2017 edition of the Wareable Tech Awards in the Smartwatch of the Year category. So there is definitely one we are eager to spend some time with when it officially lands.
