Logitech spends 117 million dollars and receives control over some of the most beautiful microphones on the market today, as well as access to a whole new product category for the company to expand.
Logitech is a company that deals with peripherals and accessories for your computer, and this week, product categories are expanding through the purchase of Blue Microphones.
If you have not heard of Blue, chances are you have heard audio recorded through the company's microphones in YouTube videos or podcasts. It is also impossible to not notice Blå's products because of the highly eye-efficient design of the microphones, which accommodates typical desktop users all the way to professional studio setup.
As The Verge reports, Logitech pays $ 117 million in cash to acquire Blue and round it out Logitech's product line up for anyone who wants to stream from their PC. Logitech can now offer you video footage and voice recording devices required to do so. At the same time, there will be a foot in the door to the professional music market, and will certainly try to grow in that field.
Logitech CEO Bracken Darrell saw Blue as "a new way to grow." John Maier, Blue Microphones, points to Logitech's "global reach" and "huge resources" as a good reason to join, although this will clearly be a Logitech operation from now on.
The best audio editing software For what is happening now, Maier explains the best on the Blue blog. "Here's the deal: All of us here at Blue will continue to make cool stuff for professional musicians, players, podcasters, YouTubers and streamers. Logitech will help We conquer the world. It's a great partnership full of opportunities. And our new, Extended Logi Family also includes Ultimate Ears, Jaybird, Logitech G and Astro Gaming. "
I would be very surprised to see the blue brand and the design disappears as it is so striking and well known. Blue has built its brand since 1995, and Logitech would not break it. I guess we get Blue Microphones by Logitech, or something similar for future products.
