Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., has spent the past year improving Ford’s version of the F-150. The latest generation of the smallest member of the F-Series model line debuted as new for the 2021 model year.
Limited Shelby F-150 is the most powerful version of the truck the company has ever made. It also has the highest towing and payload capacity of all full-size light trucks.

Shelby’s engineers have taken 395 horsepower V8 that Dearborn’s team puts under the hood of the truck and added a supercharger that increases production to 775 horsepower. This figure was obtained using 93-octane fuel.
The truck’s intake manifold has been powder coated Ford Performance blue. A Borla exhaust and black double exhaust tips give the truck its distinctive roar.
The Shelby F-150 suspension pulls the weight under the body and comes complete with Ford Raptor-style Fox shocks with internal bypass technology and adjustable dual-speed controls that allow the truck to be set for street driving, mountain crawling or generalized off-road duties. There is also a BDS lifting system, drawbars at the rear and Billet racing pedals.
Body color flare; a fresh grill; side steps with rock guards; a painted rear bumper; tonneau cover with bedspreads and painted door handles, mirror caps and door coverings find their way to the function list.
The entire rig runs on 22-inch Shelby alloy wheels wrapped in BFG terrain KO2 tires.
Shelby takes on the truck maintains many of the F-150’s coveted features from the factory, including the ability to do over-the-air software updates, a built-in generator and a center console that can be tilted into a large table.
There are also two-tone leather seats that have the Shelby emblem sewn in red. Each truck gets Shelby floor mats, a Shelby-based console cover and a unique Shelby serial number. The company has added a carbon fiber interior package to the truck.
An airy style hood and deep colored windows keep the model’s interior cool, even on hot summer days.
Shelby American supports each of its new F-150 trucks with a three-year / 36,000 mile warranty.
Our of the company’s assigned vehicles with 600 vehicles, the Shelby team will build a limited number of trucks for US customers, and some additional units will be exported.
The four-door trucks have a starting MSRP of $ 107,080 for a version of the truck based on the Ford F-150 Lariat 4×4 from 2021. The Shelby F-150 can be ordered through selected Tuscany and Ford dealers throughout North America.
