LG’s new 2021 OLED TVs will start at $ 1,300

LG has been releasing new information about the 2021 series of OLED TVs ever since the Consumer Electronics Show in January, but all of these press releases and presentations ruled out the basics until now: pricing. Today we learned the price points of every TV in the series, from the new, lower A-series to the ultra-premium G-series.

This year, LG’s OLED TVs will range between $ 1300 and $ 6000, depending on the specific product line and screen size.

At the bottom is the LG A1, which omits expensive, mostly game-specific features – such as 120Hz panels, variable refresh rate (VRR) and the HDMI 2.1 connection that makes it possible – to make OLEDs more accessible (and more competitive with the cheaper ones). to produce the LCD TV options) than before. Available in 48-, 55-, 65- and 77-inch sizes, the A1 will ship with a suggested retail price of $ 1,300, $ 1,600, $ 2,200 or $ 3,200, respectively.

The more expensive C1 includes the omitted features, as well as the latest AI chip from LG, which is used, among other things, to optimize image and sound dynamically. It will be available in all the same sizes as the A1, plus an extra size: 83 inches. Price points for the C1 are $ 1500 (48 inches), $ 1800 (55 inches), $ 2500 (65 inches), $ 3800 (77 inches) and a hefty $ 6000 (83 inches).

The G1 – which is slimmer and gives greater peak brightness than the C1 – comes in only three sizes: 55 inches at $ 2200, 65 inches at $ 3000 and 77 inches at $ 4500.

However, several software features in C1 can also come to CX via updates.
