LG's Android Pie Update Roadmap is Serious Depressing Me – Droid Life

Remember in April when LG opened an engineering center where the only purpose was to provide timely software updates?

Forgive me, but LOL .

According to a new road map provided by LG, the G7 ThinQ smartphone will not receive cake at a time in Q1

(probably in Korea first and then roll out across the globe), but other devices, such as the V40, are not even listed to receive Pai in that time frame. Instead, it is set to receive PentaShot camera mode. And the LG G6? It's set to get a little patch without the taste of Pie mentioned, not even a tiny mess of sweet pie aroma.

LG, you are bad at software updates, and this global update center seems like a joke.

Let's quickly compare LG with another massive Android player that has a super heavy custom skin running on Android – Samsung. Samsung introduced a user interface to run on the top of Pie, and while you don't hear me, Samsung praises how quickly their updates come, there is certainly a better job than LG in this section. From now on, Samsung is ready to have Pie and One UI on the Galaxy S9, S9 +, Note 9, S8, S8 + and Note 8 by March 2019. In particular, the Galaxy S9 and S9 + owners will receive the update in January, which means that Galaxy owners are days away from the Pie update, while LG owners can still be months away. It hurts.

LG owners, we keep you updated, but you have to be patient for your piece of pie.
