Even the oldest LG brand loyalists cannot deny that software updates are not the company's forte. We've seen that the company has struggled to deliver large Android software updates (outside of Korea) for many of its devices in time. LG's UX software is heavily adapted to Android, which does not help to roll out updates quickly to any device. So far, the only LG phone to receive an official stable update based on Android Pie is the G7 One which is an Android One device (thus it does not run the LG UX). LG G7 ThinQ has received Android Pie beta in selected markets, though. If you are looking forward to running Android Pie on G7 ThinQ, then you are lucky when LG officially released its Q1 2019 roadmap.
If you have a LG G7 ThinQ, your device is expected to receive an official update for Android Pie in the first quarter of 201
This is not to say that none of the devices will receive the update (although it would not be "not surprising). LG could certainly plan to roll it out in the second or third quarter of 2019. It sucks but then has LG is not always the best when it comes to software updates, considering that Android Q previews are expected to be released by the end of Q1 2019 / early Q2 2019, it is a flagship that receives an update last time this is strange.
There is no word on Q1 2019 updates for any other LG device and other flagship devices that the LG V30 is not mentioned in this road map, so it would be wise not to hope for an update in the near future.
