League Of Legends announces four new champions

Riot Games has thrown out some details on what League Of Legends players can expect in 2021. The big ticket is four new champions coming through the year, starting with the devastated king himself this month. Down the line, three other new champions will also take part in the game, although their identity is still a bit of a secret.

Riot says Viego the Ruined King, a jungle master, is the first of the party to arrive later this month. They have also revealed his set of abilities, and he sounds, as I assume royals are not, quite possessive. Viego̵

7;s “Sovereign’s Dominance” ability temporarily controls an enemy master he has helped kill, giving him access to their possessions and abilities.

He also has a camouflage Black Mist that you can spot in the flashy movie that Riot released to herald his arrival. You can catch him actually using the Blade of the Ruined King in a bit of Rio’s revelation video above.

After Viego, Riot suggests the three other new masters coming this year, which are part of his story: a magical pest fighter with a kind of sytema, an artillery magic and a shooter. They will fill the other league roles, so no matter how you play, you should have a new champion to try out this year.

On the update page, they have shared a little more about the work of upgrading Dr. Mundo’s appearance and skills. If you want to say something about which champion will be polished next year, you can vote for it in your league client until 19 January. You can cast a vote for Udyr, Shyvana, Nocturne, Skarner or Quinn.

If you are interested in studying the king’s costume before he falls in, you can find the details on Rio’s website.
