Audio company Klipsch has announced a new series of smart audio bars in front of CES 2019. The five new audio bars have options such as built-in Google Assistant, Alexa, and in a Dolby Atmos model. They will cost between $ 299 and $ 1,599, and will run out in the spring, with a couple of models sending this fall.
Klipsch's new sound bars will range from 40 to 54 inches in length. The smallest is Klipsch Bar 40, which is also available as Bar 40G with Google Assistant embedded. Klipsch Bar 48 is the second largest and also comes as Bar 48W, a Wi-Fi enabled version that is "compatible with" Google Assistant, Alexa and AirPlay 2 ̵
These sound bars were designed to look and sound more like Klipsch's high-end reference speakers (ie, they are expensive and do not look like the typical plastic bar). The company does not mention what sound beams will be made of, just to use "quality materials" and "horn-loaded technology."
Klipsch first introduced smart speakers to its series in 2018 with its Heritage Wireless speakers.
