Cupertino, California – Apple announced today that John Giannandrea has been called to the company's management team as Senior Vice President of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Strategy. He joined Apple in April 2018.
Giannandrea monitors the AI and Machine Learning strategy across all Apple products and services, as well as the development of Core ML and Siri technologies. The team's focus on promoting and tightly integrating machine learning in Apple products, provides more personal, intelligent and natural interaction for customers while protecting privacy.

Giannandrea's team also helps improve the developer experience with tools like Core ML and Create ML, making it easier and faster to integrate machine learning into apps.
