Jeff Gordon sells his Corvette for charity

NASCAR Legend Jeff Gordon will sell his personal 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 later this month through Barrett-Jackson in favor of his charity, Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation. The car, a C7.R special edition model, is selected with eight-speed automatic and has only 747 miles on the odometer. It's the best way to fulfill your dreams of driving a car Jeff Gordon drove while contributing to a good cause.

The special edition C7.R comes as standard with the Z06's Z07 track package, which is normally an accessory. It gives you a bigger splitter, a more aggressive adjustable rear wing, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. In addition, C7.R cars get black wheels with yellow accents, carbon fiber cap, yellow-painted brake caliper, tailor-made graphics and a unique interior trim. The car can be ordered either yellow or black, and according to the VIN sequence, this car is number 23 out of the 500 that are built.

Barrett-Jackson will auction the car on the evening of January 1

8, which is just under two weeks away. The entire sale will go to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation, which provides support for pediatric cancer research and patient support programs. It is not given any estimate, but considering this car's provenance and welfare support, we can imagine that it may go a little more than your standard Z07-equipped Z06.
