With donations from MLB The Show 21 Collector’s Editions, the Jackie Robinson Foundation – founded by Robinson’s wife Rachel in 1973 – will establish the JRF MLB The Show Scholars program in partnership with PlayStation.
Teachers in the JRF MLB Show Scholars program will receive four-year scholarships and support services such as career guidance and internships. More information about the Jackie Robinson Foundation programs is available here, and more information about applying to become a JRF MLB The Show Scholar will be announced in November.
MLB The Show’s announcement of Jackie Robinson’s Edition of the game on Wednesday comes three days after Robinson’s birthday – he would have turned 102 on January 31 – and when the United States celebrates Black History Month.
