The special Jackie Robinson edition of the game will feature a black-and-white image of Robinson on the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers, with only the Dodgers blue in uniform colored.

MLB The Show not only honors Robinson’s legacy by putting him on the front page of the game. PlayStation will also donate $ 1 to the Jackie Robinson Foundation for each MLB The Show 21 Collector’s Edition sold in the United States throughout the year.

You can pre-order the Jackie Robinson Edition of MLB The Show 21 now, as well as the regular edition of the game, which features Padre’s Phenomenon Fernando Tatis Jr. on the front page.

Pre-orders for Jackie Robinson Edition include four days of early access to the game starting April 16 – the day after MLB’s annual Jackie Robinson Day celebration.

With donations from MLB The Show 21 Collector’s Editions, the Jackie Robinson Foundation – founded by Robinson’s wife Rachel in 1973 – will establish the JRF MLB The Show Scholars program in partnership with PlayStation.

Teachers in the JRF MLB Show Scholars program will receive four-year scholarships and support services such as career guidance and internships. More information about the Jackie Robinson Foundation programs is available here, and more information about applying to become a JRF MLB The Show Scholar will be announced in November.

MLB The Show’s announcement of Jackie Robinson’s Edition of the game on Wednesday comes three days after Robinson’s birthday – he would have turned 102 on January 31 – and when the United States celebrates Black History Month.
