Apple has announced that it will officially announce its new 2018 iPhones next month, especially September 12th. However, a new, new leak may have revealed the designs of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus and Apple Watch Series 4.
Images of the iPhone XS, XS Plus and the new Apple Watch were accidentally leaked by Apple and they were shared exclusively by 9To5Mac. The same website also claimed that the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus will be the official names of the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED models. The image publication shared shows the 5.8-inch model sitting on top of the 6.5-inch model.
Although the picture does not really give a clear and complete look at the upcoming iPhone models, it confirms some details about the upcoming phones. First of all, both devices will have the same edge-to-edge display design that was introduced with iPhone X last year. This also means that both models will have a hack on the top of the screen.
The picture also shows that the iPhone XS and XS Plus both will be available in a new gold color scheme. Last year, iPhone X was available only in black and silver color choices. Apple plans to release a gold model, but it never reached the market. However, the gold-colored iPhone X made an appearance on FCC .
For the 6.1-inch LCD 2018 iPhone, the model has not been leaked by Apple. It is speculated that the 6.1-inch LCD model may be called "iPhone," according to the Phone Arena. The LCD model is expected to be the cheapest of the trio of new iPhones, but it will have the same edge-to-edge design and it comes with a notch. All three models are also expected to support Apple Face Detection Feature for Face ID.
In addition to the iPhone XS leak, 9To5Googl e were also able to share leaked rendering for Apple Watch Series 4. The new smartwatch comes with a larger edge-to-edge display, and Apple seems to be able to do this by reducing the size of the edges. Apple also seems to be able to slim down in the Apple Watch chassis, but previously released watchbands should still be compatible, according to The Verge.
On the page, the digital crown and sidebar have been given some modifications. The side button appears to be more recessed and next to it there seems to be a small hole for an extra microphone. It is speculated that the new Page Button may not be clicky anymore, and it may be a solid state key. If it is true, it can also improve the device's water resistance.
iPhone, iPhone XS, XS Plus and Apple Watch Series 4 are expected to be released September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.
