We just revealed the existence of the iPhone XS Smart Battery Case earlier this month, with assets present in iOS builds. The Appleosophy Website has detected another instance in Apple's Autumn Marketing Guidelines. 9to5Mac has confirmed the findings as legitimate.
The pictures are part of a document that tells dealers how to present Apple silicone and leather cases until the fall of 2018. Undeniable images of an XS Smart battery kit are present in the "Black Leather XS Max" and "Black Leather XS" cells.

The image of the case is low resolution, but it definitely depicts a case that Apple is not currently selling; The back height is clearly visible, and the vertical camera system confirms that this is a new design. Apple recently offered a color battery for iPhone 4 (and not the Plus model).
The image that is present in the documentation "Fall 2018" is another indicator that Apple plans to start this case before the end of the year. The autumn ends technical Friday 21st. December, so there is still time for the company to meet that plan. However, it is possible that timelines slipped and the new Apple battery set was retracted to 2019.
We are not entirely sure why the case is included in the "skinn" array matrix. It sits next to the normal range of leather seasonal colors. The battery set is only visible in the black column, there is no white version depicted in these documents. All previous Smart battery bearings had silicone shapes and came in several colors.
I interpret the disagreement as a mistake, the black leather lap was probably meant to go in this cell, instead of some comments about the product range of the upcoming battery set. What is undoubtedly confirmed is that an iPhone X Series Smart Battery Case is approaching internationally, in time for marketing images to find brochures for dealers.
The image in the documentation is small so it does not look good when small. Here is the highest asset of history from earlier this month:
The new image matches the code leak, except that the camera module is included instead of an open hole. Code finds the existence of three models, presumably for XS, XS Max and XR. The Apple Reseller document does not refer to any cases for iPhone XR, so we are not sure of the fate of the XR battery cover based on this latest found.
