If you are not connected to all the details about iPhone, you may not be aware of a very cool feature. Thanks to the good nerds of TikTok, many people discover that there is a tool hidden in ordinary sight: the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Yep, it’s a tool / sensor / button.
This took, from Brit Brown, was posted in October 2020 and shows users how to program their apple to perform functions such as taking a screenshot, opening a specific app or locking the screen. It makes sense that the site would be touch-sensitive (Apple products are becoming increasingly glassy and touch-based), but seriously, how did we not notice this before? We are on our phones literally all day long.
See TikTok in full, below. Did you already know about this?
Remember that it is a double tap, so if your technically deviant parent is having trouble doing this hack, that may be the reason.
Brown seems to be demonstrating his tutorial on the iPhone 1
Unfortunately, none of the hacks here or on TikTok address the very obvious problem of adding a feature to the Apple logo: Most people store their phones in a case. And usually that case covers the logo. Now, if the company could make a product that did not break into a million pieces when it was dropped, that would really be a feature we could use.
